Author & Professor Ruth Vanita, will talk about her book, Love’s Rite, which documents the hundreds of low-income, non-English-speaking same-sex couples from 1980 to the present who have got married by religious rites and/or committed joint suicide, saying they will be married in the next life. She will also discuss centuries of Indian writing and art about same-sex unions.
